Claire Garden Design has been appointed to transform this tired rear garden into a low maintenance contemporary entertaining space whilst ensuring it feels warm and inviting all year long. Western red cedar fencing all around the garden has been suggested to create a warm cocoon. The floor is tiled with XL porcelain tiles to give a sense of space. Raised beds along the left-hand side boundary offer different levels of planting and hide the view from the house to the BBQ area. Rust colour cladding echoes the fencing and furniture. Western red cedar screens at the back are hiding storage areas. Low maintenance planting is mainly evergreen and is focusing on colour and shape of foliage. Touches of rusty colour plants are matching the cladding and the red cedar bringing another touch of warmth to the garden. Rust colour spotlights on walls and within the planting create an inviting atmosphere at night.
