The brief was to lighten this unused dark overgrown patio at basement level and organized it so it becomes a nice place to have dinner, relax and entertain in a style that would reflect the timeless modern look of the house. The existing thick retaining walls have been cleared of all black cladding material and painted white. All side walls have been rendered and painted white. Additional beds have been created at different levels. Hardwood decking and floating bench add warmth to the area. Planting scheme consists of mixed borders, small trees and climbers.
